BIO

JESS EPSTEIN

I have been working in documentary film and unscripted television for over 10 years. I have worked in the U.S. and abroad and have produced both long and short-format content. I have worked on multiple feature-length documentaries, with a project, Los Últimos Frikis, premiering as part of DOC NYC, and a forthcoming project from FILM-45 to premiere on ESPN. This year, I was a PGA Create Documentary Fellow and American Stories Documentary Fellow with Points North and CNN.

I also hold a Masters in Arts Administration from Baruch College (CUNY). Outside of my work in film and television I am committed to working with artists and collectives around creating visual work that interacts with the public on social change issues. I have been a lead member of Mobile Print Power (MPP) a multi-generational printmaking collective based out of Corona, Queens since 2015. With MPP, I engage with our unique methodology for participatory design in public space and a pair of portable silkscreen printmaking carts to engage communities and explore social and cultural situations to transmit the work that we co-create with the community we make books, prints, and public sculptures.

I am currently producing Remaining Native, a feature-length documentary directed by Paige Bethmann, set to premiere in Fall of 2023.
